BBP’s existing experience struggled to keep pace with the demands of the business. Managing large product volumes, customer-specific pricing, and quote workflows created friction for both users and internal teams.

Customers needed a faster, more intuitive way to browse products, build quotes, and manage their accounts. Internally, the team needed tighter integration with systems like Sage 200 to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.

We designed and built a website that puts usability and performance at its core. Every interaction was shaped around real customer behaviour, from product discovery through to quoting and repeat purchasing.

Quoting sits at the centre of BBP’s commercial model, so it needed to be seamless.

We developed a bespoke quoting flow tailored to verified customers, enabling multi-product quotes, intuitive basket management, and automated confirmations. Every interaction is fully synced with Sage 200, removing duplication and reducing the risk of error.

For customers, this means a faster, more reliable way to request and manage quotes. For BBP, it significantly reduces manual processing and frees up internal teams to focus on higher-value work.

BBP’s pricing structure is dynamic, with variations across products, customers, and account tiers. To support this, we implemented a robust API integration with Sage 200.

This allows real-time syncing of price bands, product metadata, and customer-specific information. Every quote generated through the website reflects accurate, tailored pricing automatically.

Handling complexity without slowing down

While the user experience is clean and simple, the platform is doing significant work behind the scenes.

We engineered a high-performance search system that allows users to browse by category, keyword, or SKU with near-instant results, even across thousands of products. This makes product discovery quick and intuitive, regardless of catalogue size.

User areas were also designed to support self-service, giving customers access to account history, previous quotes, and repeat ordering. This reduces reliance on manual support and improves overall efficiency.

We replatformed BBP from a legacy CMS to Statamic, creating a more flexible and future-ready foundation.

Statamic’s flat-file structure improves performance and security, while its modular editing approach makes content management straightforward for internal teams. BBP can now update content, manage products, and evolve the site without unnecessary complexity.
